HOW IT ALL STARTED...
The challenge to friends and families of the graduating class of 2020, raise $2,020.00 as a way to leave a positive impact on Roslyn School. It started with a desire to PAY IT FORWARD to future students, staff and teachers.
12 year old alumnus Peter started his elementary journey at Roslyn School in 2013. He was in Ms Lysanne Abelardo's Kindergarten class. He made friends and navigated through the classes during his time at Roslyn until he changed schools in 2016.
Fast forward to 2020 now in Grade 6 at a local school, Peter was asked to identify a community group where he could volunteer his time to contribute and learn hands on. He decided it would be important to help create a legacy at his former elementary school and believed fellow graduating class of 2020 friends and families would feel equally inspired to contribute to the initiative.
Donations raised by this challenge will go toward the foundation's endowment from which funds will be used to support various initiatives including annual awards and classroom materials to support teachers.
