DRAMATIS PERSONAE, Westmount’s community theatre, in conjunction with The Westmount Historical Association, will present a dramatized historical play based on the book ROSLYN: THE STORY OF A CANADIAN SCHOOL written by Ann Elbourne, Molly Fripp and Maryla Waters. This play, which looks back on Roslyn’s first 100 years, will be presented on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the school.
This Centennial event is held in collaboration with the Roslyn School Foundation and will be a fund-raiser. There will be a wine and cheese cocktail at 7:00 p.m. and the play will start at 7:30 p.m. Admission will be free. There will be a free-will collection with proceeds going to the Roslyn School Foundation. Recommended donation: $10, $5 for children, students and seniors.
Many of the actors are former Roslyn students or parents of former Roslyn students. Acting in the play are Judith Aitchison-Philpot, Ann Elbourne, Diane Liberio, Malcolm McRae, Shawn Osgood and Ellen Rubin. The parts for children will be played by Craig McCullogh, Naomi Beneteau-Goldberg, Benjamin Elbourne-Weinstock and Emma Elbourne-Weinstock. Molly Fripp, one of the writers of the book, will give the introduction.
All students, friends, and family are invited. Come on out and discover the rich history of Roslyn presented in a fun and entertaining format!
